Environmental Health & Safety/Risk Management (EHSRM)
The Oakland Community College Environmental Health and Safety/Risk Management (EHSRM) Department assists the college community; including students, faculty, staff, contractors, and visitors, in maintaining safe and healthy campuses, and to minimize our impact on the environment. Programs have been developed to provide uniform guidance to OCC employees, and to assist in meeting the many regulatory obligations that OCC is subject to. These programs deal with environmental, health, safety, transportation, and training issues that impact the college's operations.

Emergencies
Contact the EHSRM Department and/or Public Safety in the event of any of the following emergencies:
- Chemical spills or releases
- Gas Leaks
- Activities, situations, or equipment that could cause serious injuries or environmental contamination
Always contact Public Safety first if injuries are involved, or in situations where evacuation may be necessary. If in doubt, contact Public Safety.
