Seniors 60 and Older Receive 20% Discount on In-Person Classes
Oakland Community College (OCC) has announced its fall line-up of Community Education
courses in areas of personal enrichment, cooking and teen driving safety.
The courses are taught by well-known Community Education Instructors who are experts in their subject. OCC also offers a 20% discount for Seniors 60 years
and older on all in-person Community Education classes.

Teen Defensive Driving Essentials
Sunday, Aug. 30 | 1-6 p.m. | Auburn Hills Campus
This course equips new teen drivers with the skills needed to anticipate hazards,
understand vehicle dynamics and respond confidently during unexpected driving situations.
Mastering Your Makeup
Wednesdays, Sept. 2-23 | 5:30-7:30 p.m. | Southfield Campus
Learn about the basics of skincare through a full-face application and improve your
make-up knowledge and skills to highlight your unique features.
Crochet for Beginners
Thursdays, Sept. 3-Oct. 22 | 6 – 8 p.m. | Southfield Campus
This beginner-friendly eight-week course covers basic stitches, how to read patterns and
simple functional project completion.
Football Fundamentals for Women
Saturday, Sept. 12 | 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. | Southfield Campus
A one-day workshop where women learn the basics of football - including rules, player
positions, penalties and game flow.
The Mahjong Mingle at OCC
Tuesdays, Sept. 15 - 29 | 6 - 8 p.m. | Orchard Ridge Campus

This beginner-friendly course introduces the fundamentals of American Mahjong, including
essential rules, tile recognition and basic strategies through guided instruction
and hands-on play.
