Student Success Fund

Are you dealing with an unexpected financial crisis? Surprising life events, such as a car repair, job loss, or hospital visit can hinder your progress toward achieving your educational goals.

The Student Success Fund is OCC's rapid response for students experiencing an unexpected non-tuition financial emergency. You may apply for:

• Up to $500 for emergency expenses
• A laptop computer. If approved, you must pick up from either the Auburn Hills or Royal Oak campus.  We cannot mail laptops.
• Up to $500 for required textbooks.
  
  

Eligibility

To be eligible for assistance, you must meet the following criteria:

• Must have completed at least 6 credits at Oakland Community College
• Must be currently enrolled and registered in at least 6 credits
• Must have a 2.0 GPA
• Must not have earned a degree.
• Must not have an outstanding balance on your student account.
• Must not have received monetary assistance or a laptop computer through the Student Success Fund within the past year (365 days).
• Must not be a High School Dual Enrolled or College Guest student.
