Armorer Training by Sons of Liberty Gun Works

Course Description:

Sons of Liberty’s two-day AR-15 Armorer Course is a comprehensive course on the AR-15 weapon system. At the completion of this class, you will have the skills and knowledge necessary to perform proper assembly/disassembly, barreling procedures, perform routine maintenance and inspections.

Our armorer’s training is far greater in scope than traditional armorers training. We cover not only assembly and disassembly but the history of the platform, materials used in its construction, troubleshooting, technical information regarding the platform and much more. You will come out of the program with a much greater appreciation and understanding of what constitutes a quality AR-15/M4.

Required Equipment:

Required Items:

5.56 AR-15 carbine (any brand, no pistons, AR-10s)

Minimalist Tool List:

Non-marking gun smithing hammer (brass/nylon)
6” flat tip screwdriver or correct Allen wrench/hex bit for pistol grip screw
AR-15 Specific Punch set – such as SOLGW Punch Kit
Notepad/Paper
USB Flash Drive (OPTIONAL for downloading class slides)

If you want to build a rifle during the course, we recommend:

Complete set of flat steel punches (1/16, 5/64, 3/32, 1/8, 5/32)
Complete set of roll pin holders (starter punches)
Complete set of roll pin punches
Non-marking Gunsmithing Hammer
Small to medium pair of needle-nose pliers
Large flat tip screwdriver or variable tip screwdriver set
Barrel nut adapter specific to your rail (if needed)
