Calvin’s TRIO Student Support Service (SSS) program is federally funded support for first-generation students, students from
low-income families, and students with disabilities. TRIO SSS provides specialized
resources and services to help students to stay in and graduate from college.
First-generation college students are some of the first in their family to earn a four-year degree. Calvin considers
students whose parents do not have a bachelor’s degree to be first-gen. First-gen
students come from all ethnicities and socioeconomic backgrounds. Whether you're a
current or prospective student, we're committed to supporting you.
Calvin Admissions has dedicated staff to work exclusively with our Transfer Students,
including current students who have transferred to Calvin and are always happy to
meet or talk to interested students. We also have an Assistant Registrar who provides
a personalized credit evaluation for any student who provides an unofficial transcript,
or students can utilize a "self-service" option on our website.

Calvin’s Transfer Equivalencies
Calvin University offers a Transfer Visit Day on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving each fall. We would love to have any potential transfer students and advisors join us to learn more about Calvin. Currently, transfer students who are able to schedule an Admissions Visit will earn the Visit Grant worth $2000/year in addition to their academic scholarship. When Transfer students begin at Calvin, we have Orientation Programs that are tailored to their needs and interests. We offer regularly occurring Transfer Student Tours and Transfer Student Presentations & Tours. These campus visits include a group presentation followed by a student-led campus tour, or a student-led campus tour without the presentation portion. The combined presentation and tour visit takes about 1.5 hours, while the stand alone tour can take 30-45 minutes. The presentation covers academics, student life, financial aid, and information specifically for transfer students. The student-led walking tour goes through academic spaces, the library, the recreation center, and more!
For students that are unable to visit campus or want to discuss the transfer process/questions virtually, we offer Transfer Virtual Appointments. Please note that date and times are currently limited due to the approaching holiday season, we plan to add additional dates for the new year very soon!

These visits are for prospective transfer students who have not yet been admitted to MSU. They include a short presentation followed by a guided tour of campus. Presentations provide an overview of MSU and the transfer admissions process.

Stamps Transfer Institute is a virtual program designed for current community college students interested in transferring to the Stamps School of Art & Design at the University of Michigan. This program is focused on developing each participant’s transfer readiness and fluency. Students will participate in a comprehensive review of our transfer guidelines with Stamps Admissions staff, engage with current Stamps students through a Q&A and learn about financial aid and scholarships from the Office of Financial Aid.

degree or a minimum of 60 credits at OCC and transfer to Walsh!
Bachelor degrees in business and information technology with FastTrack options to complete three degrees
in five years – associate, bachelor’s, and master’s degrees. Students may concurrently

Complete your OCC associate degree and transfer to Wayne State University to earn a bachelor's degree. Students can select from many areas of study with either a transfer (2+2) or career focus. It's a great way to save time and money without losing credits or taking additional courses.

The Transfer Equivalency Self-Service (TESS) tool displays how your earned credits
will transfer into specific Wayne State degree programs. The tool provides an unofficial
